ARNY, Mary Travis. SEASONED WITH SALT. Philadelphia: Westminster Press, [1954]. 8vo, cloth in dust jacket. First edition. Signed presentation from Arny on the front endpaper to a well-known radio journalist: "For Mary Margaret McBride, distinguished member of the R.C.A. family circle. With profound respect for a lady who walks in integrity= Mary Travis Arny." Arny based this novel on her experiences growing up in Montclair, NJ. She attended school at New Jersey College For Women and Rutger's University. She also wrote a column for the "Montclair Times." McBride was a famous radio commentator and journalist who interviewed more than 1,200 people in a 20 year period. Very Good (some pages formerly "dog-eared" and some pencil lines have been drawn in margins next to passages- all presumably by McBride); some rubbing (bit of wear spine ends) d/j. An interesting book! $125.00.
