Printed cloth with red gilt titled spine and cover. Dust Jacket as issued. CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Covers are clean and bright. Interior is clean and tight. Price clipped DJ is lightly worn and chipped on spine ends; now in mylar sleeve. CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: The author, himself a guide, hunter and game warden, writes what he knows in the mountains where he lived; he being a resident of Essex, Montana. This young adult adventure book tells the story of a young, newcomer tagging on with the experienced mountain guide and forest ranger, and by the end of the summer, he's offered his own position as a Government Hunter. For those not familiar with Montana, the little town Essex, where the author lived, is a wide spot on Hwy-2 and with an old railway station; right on the southern edge of Glacier NP. This old, beautiful lodge, The Isaac Walton Inn, is a great spot for an hour, day, or week's visit. Especially in the winter for skiing and snowshoeing.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 1st Edition. This offering as a vintage copy of popular older novel. Snow Rangers of the Andes was written by Montgomery M. Atwater and was published by Random House - perhaps in 1967 - and appears to be a First Edition though it is not specifically stated as such. There's no price on the front dust jacket flap . . . just 350/350. It is NOT an ex-library copy - the book is in very good + condition and the dust jacket is in good + condition . . . now. The front flap that was nearly detached so I taped it back on to preserve the integrity of the dust jacket. It looks much better now. . . . and it's protected by a plasticine "cover wrap". The book is 5 7/8" by 8 3/8" and has 215 pages with a Table of Contents. "Your 'cover' is that the Forest Service has loaned you to a private company to do an avalanche job in South America." Thanks for looking!.
