Hard Back. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 245 pages. Dust Jacket has some edge wear and a few very small tears but is complete bright and interesting with photo of author on back. Book may have been read once and stored. Lidian Dorie's pilgrimage from Massachusetts to Montana lasted from 1856 to 1868. Before those 12 years had passed, she had to forget all the gentility of her former quiet life. Her green silk parasol ceased to be her prize possession, and the silver-handled whip which Jack Woolford had given her took it's place. This unusual novel retraces every moment of Lidian's early life and captures the flavor of the era, pioneers moving westward, the issues of the Civil War.
