Erstmals 1616 in Antwerpen erschienene Schrift über die ewige Glückseligkeit, verfasst von dem bekannten italienischen Kontroverstheologen und Jesuitenpater Robert Bellarmin (1542-1621). Bellarmin war u. a. 1599 Großinquisitor im Häresieprozess gegen Giordano Bruno und fungierte im Verfahren gegen Galilei als Berater des Papstes.- Innendeckel mit hs. Library stamp on titlepage. * The binding is an elaborately tooled leather over wooden boards, one of the edges dam. with the leather partly gone. Clasps gone. Many wormholes in the last quarter of the volume, including the wood and leather of the back. Still a reasonable copy.
