Book is solid and square, but does have a fair amoung o wear on boards, especially at tips and at head and foot of spine. Some soliling on both front and rear board and water stain along top edge of rear board. as well as a circular cup mark on rear board. Previous owner's name inked on FFE (endpapers are illustrated), but no oher iinterior marking. Some interior pages soikled or marked, but none terribly so. Islluatrated with scissor cuts. Somewaht faded gold print and design on spine. PAges and foredges toned. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall Folio Wide. Children's Poetry.

Borie is remembered in part for her popular poetry collection *Poems for Peter*, but she also has strong and important ties to the city of Philadelphia. She served as the secretary to the Independence Hall Association for 18 years, spent ten years as Director of Public Relations of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, was a founding member of the Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia, and even wrote advertisements for the beloved regional treat Tastykake. *OCLC* locates only two holdings.
