No dust jacket. Binding is tight. Interior is clean except for a dampstain to the fore-edge of the last 30 plates. Includes 110 black-and-white plates. Alfred C. Bossom (1881-1965) was a British architect and politician. Following the trip to Mexico that is recorded in this book, Bossom became a proponent of Mayan Revival architecture. Signed by Author(s).

A signed presentation copy, with an inscription to the recto to the front free endpaper, 'To my dear friend John Rodger's with my personal regards Alfred C. Bossom 1954'. An interesting work on the history of the beautiful architecture in Mexico. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and one-hundred and nine plates. Written by Alfred Bossom. Bossom was an architect who worked in the States, where he was involved in the construction of skyscrapers, as well as expanding the Adolphus Hotel. He was also a proponent of the Mayan Revival architecture after travelling to Mexico. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little marking to the spine and boards. Ink inscription to the front pastedown. Author's inscription to the recto to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine. signed by author. book.

Bossom, an English architect, became active in New York City, designing high rises there and in Texas. He utilized elements of Mayan architecture which he had seen on his visits below the border. Rebound very attractively in a rust buckram book cloth, with paper labels; contents fine.
