Hard Cover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. First Edition. 196pp. In his early days at the Hermitage, mountaineering was the recreation of the well-to-do, escorted by professional guides, of whom Mick Bowie was one; skiing was in its infancy; amateur climbing had hardly begun and short-term tourist parties were undreamed of. The climbers and trampers who, today, enjoy the splendid services of tracks and huts and guiding available in the Mount Cook area - have much to owe the selfless work of Mick Bowie and his wife Nan.
