It is the diary of the intelligent and observant Lt. James Bradley, chief of scouts for Col. John Gibbon's Montana Column. It ends on June 26, 1876 - just prior to Bradley's discovery of Custer's massacred 7th Cavalry. Never able to complete his description of the aftermath of Little Big Horn as he was killed in action in 1877. Important Custer collectible.
