Livre
Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Attractive vintage book with a bright illustration to the front and spine. Lovely to read and for decoration or set dressing. There are a number of glossy illustrations each with a caption. The book has sprayed edges which are dark green. This is a First World War story subtitled "A Story of the Western Front from Neuve Chapelle to Loos." The book is undated but likely 1920's and written by Captain F. S Brereton who wrote many similar books based on personal experience. There is a promotional bookmark showing the author and some of his other books tucked in to the pages. It is in very good condition for its age. The binding is tight with no loose or missing pages. There is only a slight lean. The illustrated brown cloth boards are very good. The corners are lightly bumped but not rubbed. there is some age discolouration to the extremities but the colour is bright and true. The spine ends are crushed and the design on the spine remains strong. Internally, the page block is clean and bright with no marks or inscriptions. There is the occasional foxing spot to the edges of some pages and more to the endpapers but it is minimal. The binding is secure with minor cracking. All in all a very good vintage copy and a highly attractive addition to any decorative library. Please check the photos for a full condition report.
