Standard work with histories of the German monasteries. The poet and historian Kaspar Brusch, b. 1518, was crowned poet laureate and made Count Palatine by Charles V in 1541; d. 1557 or 1559. "He vacillated between Catholicism and Protestantism and was murdered in1559 near Rothenburg a.d. Tauber".
