Original poster advertising a the first reading by Russian poet Nahum Korzhavin after his emigration to the United States in 1973. SIGNED by Korzhavin at the top left corner. The reading was held on April 16, 1974, and also featured readings of English translations of other Russian poetry by Gregory Orr. The event was held at the University of Michigan. Today a noted poet, with numerous publications by Copper Canyon Press and others, Orr is a winner of the Guggenheim fellowship and two endowments from the National Endowment for the Arts. Card stock, 8 x 11 inches. Slightly toned at the edges, faint horizontal crease near the bottom edge, else Near Fine.
