Etat : Fair. 1908. Second Impression. 160 pages. No dust jacket. Dark blue cloth with a photographic black and white frontis and black and white illustrations throughout. Minor foxing and tanning to pages with heavier tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Slight dog-eared pages throughout and heavier tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Binding is loose. Boards have minor rubbing and heavier bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and fair rubbing to spine.

Rough cut pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, creased corners and foxing. Hinges are cracked, with some exposed netting and a loose binding. Boards have been moderately rub worn. Noticeable shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a little frayed Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

The cloth is reasonably bright, rather lightly but extensively waterstained, with a few traces of paper ( dustwrapper ? ) on cover. Other than the marking, the only other indication of a dampish history is slight bowing of the boards - the text is clean and tight. About Good. Heavy book weighing c1200g when parcelled, exceeding the postage quotation default weight of 1000g and thus incurring extra postage over the default for orders from overseas and those sent by 1st class post in the UK. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
