No Binding. Etat : Good. No Jacket. Calle, Paul (illustrateur). A Good copy of a "First Day Of Issue" of a 5 cent stamp, only one of a pair, on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of NASA. Stamp is red, white & blue with a represntation of Astronaut Ed White, from the Gemini IV mission, floating in space. Scott #1331. Wear to envelope along the top edging and corners. Creasing along right side edging of envelope. Smudging to both sides of envelope. Slight staining where glued on back of envelope. Stamp has a cancellation from Kennedy Space Center, Florida. There is an address in blue ballpoint on the front of the envelope and the flap of the envelope has been folded inside. To keep the envelope's shape, an index card is inside the envelope. On the left side of the envelope reads:"Saluting NASA United States Space Accomplishments; Contributing To Peaceful Conquests In Man's Last Frontier; Mercury, Gemini, Apollo" by Artopages.

They are grouped by year--1941, 1939-1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, and 1945. It includes many color illustrations and in the center is a section of 19 pages of photographs. It covers both the European and the Pacific theaters. The condition is very fine; the pages are clean, free of all marks and signatures. The blue cover has a design in black of people on the street with trees in background. The spine is printed in gold and is not faded.
