Attractive stipple cloth, binding relaxed and general rubbing to boards, text block has one loosening signature and a few loosening pages, cracking in the gutter in a couple of places, scrim still sound where visible. pages generally clean with several fold-out charts, green with blind embossed keylines, gilt lettering and picture of a ship on front board. 398pp, 43pp of illustrations, and 68pp "Dictionary of Sea Terms" by author, 3 fold-out large charts at rear, diagrams and cross sections of a sailing ship. The charts are mis-folded in a few places with dusty and darkened edges, the odd tear, generally nice for age. Size: 8vo.
