Soft cover. Etat : Fine. No Jacket. This very fine 1972 facsimile edition was originally published in 1906. Profusely illustrated, the book is tight, bright, and clean, free of names and markings. There are great ads in the back of the book from 1906. The very fine slip case has the same decoration as the cover. As a BONUS, an unused post card showing the Police Horse is included.

Hinges are lightly cracked but covers remain firmly attached. Paper covers have light edge-wear and corner curling with mild creasing and scuffing overall. Spine has minor rolling and creasing.

It is a large format paperback (approx. size is 8-1/2" x 11") in it's original slipcase, which is clean but has cracking along upper edge. Book is cover is clean and bright, no tears or chipping, light creasing to spine. Pages and edges are clean. No names, writing or marks. Illustrated with black and white photographs. 160 pages with Appendix, plus pages and pages of interesting advertising at rear of book for everything from horses and farm implements to lumber, rifles and hotels.

Front gutter cracked but binding firm. half leather boards have gilt lettering aned maple-leaf logo for Queen's Own Rifles of Canada.Leather stripped from spine, so price reduced. However, this 12" x 9" volume will require extra shipping.
