Holes in cloth and and stains to rear, cloth separating from back of spine, corners and edges worn. Spine cloth wearing thin. Some gold inlay on front darkened. Some wear to a few illustrations inside, mainly front and rear. Two tears in lower parts of folds. Small spot near Blarney Castle caption but overall clean. Includes illustrations of Sackville Street in Dublin, Trinity College, Vale of Ovoca, Blarney Castle, Queenstown, Belfast, Londonderry, Giants Causeway, etc. Publisher's list of view albums listed inside rear cover - over 100 from Aberdeen to York.

Printed in Germany Bound in original cloth spine over red decorated boards, blocked in gilt and including monogram of the publisher, Charles, Reynolds and Co. Some wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. Publisher's advertisement on rear pastedown. This type of view book originates in Germany and is an example of the curious mixture of photograph and drawing which were prolific from about 1875 to 1895 when photography finally won the day. Published by Charles, Reynolds of London, the albums in this series frequently had the labels of local sellers pasted on to them; in this case the well known Canterbury guide book publishers, H. J.
