Etat : Very good. Chicago, Illinois, 1893. 1893. Very good. - The 4-1/4 inch long spoon is adorned with a portrait (possibly Columbus) at the top between the dates of 1893 and 1492. "World's Fair City" is embossed along the handle and the Fisheries Building is depicted within the bowl. The spoon is tarnished and has both silver and copper hues. I can't make out the printing embossed on the back of the spoon's handle which has possibly been worn down by polishing over the years.

Ephemera. 24 cm. 10pp. Illustrated saddle-stitched wraps, with very light soiling. A near pristine example. An illustrated description of the Church exhibit. From the opening statement- "The marvels of A Century of Progress are shown at the World's Fair at Chicago. The revelations of science and the ingenuity and accomplishment of modern man have so changed the old familiar conditions that we stand amazed, wondering what further miracles will come to transform our civilization. Yet, startling as is the story, the Mormon exhibit reveals something more ambitious. It is told in the Hall of Religions. It, too, is a story of progress. Not only a hundred years of progress but of 'Eternal Progress.'".
