Etat : Good. 10th edition, corrected. Full contemporary sheep, G+. [viii]+xxx+554+[16]pp, red morocco lettering piece to the spine. The last page of text is a list of school books printed by C Bathurst. Leather rather worn & scuffed with a small section missing from the rear board, corners worn though, spine scuffed & worn with loss to the head & tail, hinges cracked but holding firmly. Gather Nn is a little loose in the binding resulting in the fore edge being worn, occasional ink splash & smudge, a nice copy. Selections from the speeches & addresses of the Roman Marcus Tullius Cicero [ 106 BC - 43BC ], the text here being that of the original Delphin edition, and edited by Charles de Hallot Merouille. 825 grams.

Etat : Very Good. 1st edition. Full Calf, F. 417pp, finely bound in a contemporary speckled calf, gilt tooling to the spine which has 6 rasied bands & 7 compartments. Internally a fine copy with good wide margins. Head of title page trimmed a little not affecting the text. A fine copy. The volume contains the Letters - to His Friends, Atticus, Brutus & Quintus. This edition was edited by the Dutch Historian & lecturer Jan Gruter [ 1560 - 1627 ]. Cicero's letter writing skill was influential in Renaissance Europe, his letters also containing much on the History & Politics of Rome at the time. 2600 grams.
