Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Second edition. Hardcover, full green cloth with gilt lettering and frame around painted scene, gilt lettering and decoration to spine, top edge gilt, 7-3/4" tall, 385 pp., plate illustrations. Faint rubbing to front cover, light wear to spine ends, pencil name & date (1899) to front endpaper. A simple example of color blending, which was not often practiced on book covers. In this case, it presents a nice horizon for the silhouetted cavalry. An historical novel based on Morgan's Raid, an impressive one thousand-mile march of the Confederate Army into the North as a diversionary tactic.
