Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Thumb-marking present. Previous owner's inscriptions to front pastedown and free endpaper. Noticeable creasing to gutter. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges. Visible marks overall.

Hinges tight. Contains reproductions of 28 drawings by Klapp. About 8 pages have shadows from erased pencil scribbling, which were heavy on two pages. Interesting gift inscription on front endpaper "For Sophie Lubin from Edmond X. Kapp in memory of a strange and beautiful beginning. London, November 1929". The author, Cloud, and illustrator Kapp were husband and wife. So who was Sophie Lubin ?.
