The cover edges show wear, bumping, small ink spot to lower front cover, paste specks on the the third illustration margin, back endpaper, with one corner of the back free endpaper torn off, rubbing to cover design. This copy was inscribed for book & bookplate collector, William D. Vincent (1866-1935), by the author, on the front free endpaper: To W. D. Vincent, Esq., with my sincere regards, [signed]: Irving S. Cobb. Dec 4, 1922; W. D. Vincent has added his distinctive "Among my Books" bookplate to the front paste-down endpaper, and has also pasted in a ca. 1922 biographical/bibliographical cutting regarding Irving S[hrewsbury] Cobb, next to the bookplate.
