Leather. Etat : Very Good. Leather. Folio. Printed for W Miller by W Bulmer, London, UK. 1804. 50 handcolored plates. Xxviii, list of plates, then plates alternating with text page, English one side, French the other, all of which is unpaginated. Bound in 3/4 leather and marble paper covered boards with titles and raised bands present to the spine. Front board detached. Boards have heavy shelf-wear present to the extremities (boards are chipped and with some pieces missing from the spine ends). No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. These plates depict many popular characters in costume: peasants and villagers from Upper Austria, Upper Carniola, Neutra County, the Moravian Plain, Tyrolean, Hungarian, Bohemians, etc. As well as three plates of Jewish types (Jewish and Polish Jews, Jew from Montgatz). EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
