Edition originale
An absolutely charming book, illustrated with color etchings by Pierre Vidal and set entirely in Auriol type (the greatest of the art nouveau typefaces). Wood-engraved frontispiece portrait of the author. Edition limited to 350 copies, beautifully printed on fine wove paper with a border printed in blue on every page. This is a special copy printed for Dr. Paul Aime. Prospectus laid in, with a specimen etching from the book. 8vo. Attractively bound in contemporary decorated boards highlighted with gold dust. Original wrappers bound in. Top edge gilt, other edges uncut. Barely noticeable wear to extremities of binding, original wraps somewhat discolored due to contact with acidic binder's leaves, else fine. A very attractive copy of a very attractive book.
