The 2nd revised edition following on the first publication in Unknown Magazine 1939 and the 1st HC by Henry Holt in 1941. This edition has three bindings, purple cloth, Fine Weave Black Cloth and raised texture black cloth. This seems to be the fine weave black cloth with gold gilt lettering. Two jacket variations, one by Robert Tschirsky and this copy the yellow jacket by Hannes Bok. It is believed only 3000 copies printed across all variants. NF or better copy, beautifully preserved boards, still bright and unfaded. Inscribed on front endpaper to Julius Unger an SF fan, dealer, publisher and member of the First Fandom. Dealer note in pencil. VG dust jacket with only real issue being jacket was internally strengthened with cellotype and showing the resulting staining, visible on the outside of jacket as well. Unclipped and otherwise in NF condition. Now with a clear protective cover. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author.
