Very small ding to head of spine (negligible) else a lovely copy.From the library of Noel Charles Peyrouton with his bookplate. Peyrouton was the editor of Dickens' Letters.

Gilt lettering on spine of the book. Top edge gilt on the book. Outer slipcase measures 6 3/4" x 10." Inner slipcase measures 6 3/4" x 9 3/4." Book measures 6 5/8" x 9 1/2." 177 pages, complete. Black and white plates, complete. Colophon in the front: "The Bibliophile Society; This edition is limited to 425 copies; Printed for members only." The book is an immaculate copy with the only visible wear being slight browning on the page edges and minimal offsetting on the edges of the pastedowns from the original glue. Binding is tight. Slipcases are very clean and intact but there is slight rubbing at the edges. A Fine book with two Fine slipcases. This is a biography about Charles Dickens and his first love, Maria Beadnell Winter.
