12mo, hardback, viii + 471pp. No dustwrapper. Fair condition. Good reading copy. Red cloth with drawing of saddle at front, gilt lettering at spine. Cloth is flecked, water-stained at upper right front and upper spine and rear- colour has bled onto the top edges of endpapers and pages. Free front endpaper is missing, upper rear endpapers chipped, bumped, worn, marked and generally worn. Page edges are soiled, text block sound, some marks to margins, contents clear and legible. London: Rogerson & Tuxford, 1870. 486pp. Illustrated with frontis & title vignette. All five volumes are in very good condition with some light hinge wear. All of the bindings are quite secure. The text is very good with some scattered light foxing and wear. The frontis to "Saddle and Sirloin" is loose and quite chipped at the left side. One of the contents pages in that volume is stuck together at the bottom with a short tear. Foreign postage extra on this heavy set (over 5 pounds).
