Lithographie von Guillet nach Gustave Janet, Bildformat ca. 10 x 10 cm, Blattgröße 27 x 17 cm. - Nicht störende kleine Mängel im breiten weißen Rand. Vgl. Thieme-Becker 18, 384. - Der aus Böhmen stammende Johann Ladislaus (auch Johann Ludwig) Dussek unternahm als erfolgreicher Virtuose zahlreiche Tourneen durch Europa; von seinen Kompositionen werden vor allem seine frühromantischen Klavierwerke bis heute geschätzt. Er war unter anderem Lehrer, Freund und Zechkumpan des hochmusikalischen Prinzen Louis Ferdinand von Preußen, lebte zeitweise in London und verbrachte seine letzten Lebensjahre als Kapellmeister des französischen Staatsmannes Talleyrand in Paris.
