Decorative boards are in very good condition with little wear. no marks or fading, just some very slight rubbing and bumping to corners of boards, spine is very lightly browned. Very good condition internally with no loose pages or turned over page corners, all plates present. Heavy book, please inquire for postage outside the UK.

Hardcover. Etat : Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A superb, bright copy bound in illustrated cloth boards. Very crisp cover picture and lettering. The spine is bright with minimal rubbing and the lettering still nice and crisp; perhaps just a hint of discolouration. On close inspection there is minor bumping to the fore edge corner tips. Original black end papers; 32 pages of publishers advertisements to the rear. No inscriptions and the pages are bright throughout. Mild toning/foxing to some end papers, occasionally throughout, and to the page block edge. A very presentable copy indeed.

A fine original colour lithograph from Vanity Fair, a magazine which was published from 1869-1914, featuring a large caricature portrait each week. These were drawn by various artists, the most famous of whom was Leslie Ward who used the 'nom de crayon' of "Spy". This portrait will come mounted/matted and ready to frame using archivist quality materials, mount size 18 x 12 inches, 47 x 31 cms. It will be presented in a cellophane wrapper with our label guaranteeing authenticity. We pack very well, between sheets of hardboard. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a portrait of Viscount Ebrington, with the caption "the Devon and Somerset". With accompanying biographical details. Hugh Fortescue, 3rd Earl Fortescue (4 April 1818 - 10 October 1905), known as Viscount Ebrington from 1841 to 1861, was a British peer and occasional politician.
