Uncovered gathered signatures; both covers and the spine have come away completely, and only the loose front cover remains, tucked inside the book. This is a reading / research copy or a bookbinding project. Book block is untrimmed, with some minor wear to edges and corners. There is some light wear/ soiling to the front and back protective fly sheets, and a previous owner's note ("Georges et Yvonne | Nantes | 26 Aout 1942") in ink on the title page. Otherwise pages are moderately age toned but clean and unmarked.

A blind sea captain takes his revenge on the cruel pirate who separated him from his wife 18 years prior. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good, lightly age toned, with a vertical tear affecting the center photograph, repaired with paper tape on the verso.
