Etat : Good. 1939. Reprinted. 218 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Introduction by J. C. Squire. Pages are lightly tanned, with text remaining bright and clear. Binding is firm. Boards have light shelf-wear with slight corner bumping and minor scuffing to edges. Moderate tanning to spine, with mild crushing to ends. Gilt is dulled slightly.

Colour photographic dust jacket over colour photographic cloth with a colour photographic frontis and photographic black and white in text images throughout. Moderate tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pen inscriptions to front endpaper and slight dog-eared pages throughout. There is cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Boards have heavy rubbing and edge wear with major bumping to corners. Distinctive crushing to spine ends as well. Unclipped jacket with major edge wear and rubbing with splitting to joints. There is visible tearing to corners, edges and spine ends as well.
