This is the match by match biography of Evans' sports career. He played in France and Britain in addition to many American matches. Evans was the first man to win the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur in the same year (1916) - the U.S. Open with only seven clubs in his bag! A great golf collectible.

The front boards have mottled fading, up to 2 in. width on and along the front edges and onto the cloth's turnovers. This damage to the cloth was probably caused by dampness. The remainder of the book's grade is very good. The front endpaper has 3 stains, up to 1/4 in. The back pastedown has a 1/8 in. stain. The top end of the text block is gray; the other two ends have darkened. The DJ is in 3 pieces:Front panel and flap are together. Back panel and flap are together. The spine strip had darkened; nearly half of the top end is missing; the bottom, 2 1/4 in., is loose and has a 1 in. x 3/4 in. chip. The back panel has 4 chips, up to 1/2 in., and an L-shaped closed tear and crease lines are along the bottom edge. The front panel has a 1/16 in. hole, and small, light stains are along the top edge.
