First edition. Publisher's original green cloth with gilt titles to the upper board and spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated in black and white throughout. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the rubbed and nicked pictorial dustwrapper which has a thin strip of abrasion to the top right corner of the upper panel and some fading of the spine. Not price-clipped (£2.60 net to the front flap). Inscribed in black ink on the front free endpaper "Best wishes / Dorothy Edwards / Jim and Denise / With love!!!". The recipients Jim and Denise [Condie] were organisers of Exeter Children's Book Fair throughout the 1970's and 80's. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request.
