Decorative Cloth. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. No date but believed to be the first edition of 1897. The cloth cover with gilt decoration and lettering has a faded spine. With b/w illustrations by Herbert Railton & others. Several ilustrations of each buidling which is featured, full page and in text. Previous owner's b/w bookplate showing the coat of arms for 'Amery' (Druid, Ashburton) on front past-down. No inscriptions. Tight binding. Front endpapers have begun to split. Some browning and a little spotting on endpapers. This book is the 'FIRST SERIES': 351 pages. Contents: Westminster Abbey, Canterbury, Durham, Wells, Lincoln, Winchester & Glouscester cathedrals.
