Shelf and edge wear with one 1" splitting along top margin of rear board, remains Very Good. The illustrated contents show light shelf wear and a few spots and chips at margins. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. The Mercantile Library stamp and number are on the title page and some of the internal pages and a few penciled numbers. There are no other indications of the library's ownership.

A fantastic idea on conception, the train melts from the Earth's core and must be abandoned.The author planned a sequel, 'A Trip to Venus', however it does not seem to have ever been published.Fezandie was a U.S. businessman and playwright, also known for his works 'The Revenge' and 'The Sturgis Wager'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Minor bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Spine is discoloured. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Hinges are strained. Typed synopsis of the novel tipped-in to the front paste down and recto of the front endpaper. Faint tide mark to the bottom edge, affecting some pages very lightly affected to the bottom and fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Good. book.
