1st Edn, 86 pages, 4to., b/w illus from photographs, original green cloth, spotting to end papers, gilt title to upper board in dj. Some browning and foxing to dj but no loss or tears, loose signed compliments slip from Franks, also a typed letter to E.W.F.Siddall (book collector and reviewer) signed by Franks. A detailed letter thanking Siddall for his remarks regarding the book, Franks notes the early photographs of were taken with a box camera. He also notes that he has tried to contact as many of the people or relations of those who appear in the book "and there were quite a few in the 120 copies given away". Franks give a detailed record of fishing mainly on the river Test, a scarce title possibly only 130 copies were produced, not in the revised Hampton bibliography.
