Full page with two wood engravings from the June 7, 1879 issue of The London Illustrated News depicting Illustrations from The Zulu War - King's Dragoon Guards on the March: Halting for the Night at Pinetown AND King Cetewayo's Cooks. Harry Furniss (1854 1925) was a British illustrator. He established his career on the Illustrated London News before moving to Punch. He also illustrated Lewis Carroll's novel Sylvie and Bruno. His first job as an illustrator was for the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, and when it was purchased by the owner of The Illustrated London News he moved to that magazine. Additional postage may be required.
