Hardcover. Etat : Good. Etat de la jaquette : None, as Issued. Vol. I (1872): Henry VI, 1422-1461 A.D.: cl + 554 pp. Vol. II(1874): Edward IV, 1461-1471 A.D.: lviii + 424 pp. Vol. III (1875): Edward IV-Henry VII, 1471-1509 A.D.: lxix + 627. Brown cloth, gilt titles, gilt and black decoration. VOL. I: Textblock solid. Inner front hinge almost gone, outer is solid; back hinges both gone-back cover is held on by straps top and bottom. Condition of covers and spine are fair to good, binding could be repaired/restored. Some pencil notes by a previous bookseller on title page regarding provenance and history of this set. Could be erased, but I'd rather leave it to the new owner to decide. VOL. II: All hinges solid, textblock solid. Some minor wear to corners/edges, but by itself this volume would be VG. VOL. III: Inner hinges just barely starting, outer hinges solid. Textblock solid. Some minor edge wear, but by itself, would be VG. The set is generally clean, the pages unmarked. With some repair to vol I, this would be a very acceptable set.
