AQ5 - Book has soiling with stains on the front right side and some of the inside pages, some small chipping/tear, bottom cup stain on the back, some wear on the edges and sides, some writings on the first page, red underlining neatly throughout book, discoloration, and shelf wear. No additional printings indicated. The first book of the adventures of Steve Waterhouse, the Saddlemaker's son of Nopal, from a MS. in two different scripts, found at the bottom of an old whiskey barrel by his nephew, Joseph Gallegly, cowman of the Spotted Bull Draw. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Hard Cover. First Edition. Very good in a very good dust jacket. First 30 or so pages have light crease; front hinge just barely exposed, but still tight. Bookplate on front pastedown. The jacket has some minor chips at spine end and edges. A somewhat humorous and satirical novel set in the first half of the 20th century, mainly in Southwest Texas. Signed by the author on publisher's tipped in page prior to title page. Signed by Author.

Hardcover. Etat : Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. First Edition. Front endpage bears a lengthy, tongue-in-cheek inscription to Senator Weaver, below which the author signed and dated (1948). Title page is inscribed simply, "In my own hand" and is also signed by the author. Good+ in a Good Minus dust jacket. Binding is weak (behind first blank endpage) but still holding. Page 227 has a short tear and some short but hard creases at top margin. Jacket has a good deal of browning, plus is chipped at spine-ends and has a two-inch tear about midway down at the front flap fold. Jacket spine has a couple of small holes and there's a half-inch tear at top of front panel. Signed by Author(s).

Includes a list of attractions that were performed at each of the various theatres and stages in the two cities.
