Edité par Game & Gun. London. 1939., 1939
Vendeur : Coch-y-Bonddu Books Ltd, MACHYNLLETH, Royaume-Uni
Membre d'association : PBFA
(Hardcover, 1939). 1939. 4to (215 x 268mm). Pp385 to 724. The half year, July to December, in Burgundy cloth titled in gilt on spine. Slight foxing and use but a very good copy. The cloth binding, while very close to the publisher's official binding, was probably privately done. The twelve issues of 1939, sold together as a bound volume (with index) by the publisher. Articles on guns and shooting, big game hunting, deer stalking, angling, sporting dogs and natural history. Contributors include "Pondoro," H.R. Jukes, Dugald MacIntyre, "BB," Phyllis Kelway, J.C. Mottram, Jack Hughes-Parry, T.J. Hanna, Martin E. Moseley. Every issue begins with a lengthy article by "Argus." Each article is in two parts, a fairly technical section on guns or ballistics, then an authoritative section on fishing, especially fly-tying. It seems very likely that these were written by the editor, Major Burrard, an authority in these fields. Another regular feature was a more anecdotal or chatty article on field sports in general, "Rambles at random by moor, field and stream," by "Nestor." Could this have also been written by the editor? .
Vol. XIX, 336 pages, 4to., January 1942 to December 1942, illustrated throughout from photographs and drawings, adverts etc. Bound in a maroon pebbled cloth with grey cloth spine. Includes an article with scraperboard illustration by B.B "Hunting Grey Geese".

Textured green softcovers, raised gilt lettering front cover, yapp fore-edges (slight shelfwear), NF copy; [4 pp (unpaginated).], printed on gold-tinted paper, photo & text illustrations, self-printed softcovers, NF. This Greener Gun catalogue includes Greener's Presentation Guns, which could be chiseled and gold ornamented, along with Side Lock Hammerless Ejector Guns, miniature models, trap models, featherweith models, and even the Greener Light Model Harpoon Gun. The second piece opens with long endorsement from Yeta III, Paramount Chief of Barotseland, who would rule from 1916-1945, and was an avid hunter, who shot with Greener Rifles and Shot Guns, noting here that three-quarters of his hippopotamus trophies had been made with the Greener .375 Double first purchased in 1904. No copies of either in Worldcat.
