August 1894," laid in. Essays and writings by Abraham Geiger (1810-1874), the German rabbi and scholar who led the foundation of Reform Judaism. The editor of this work, Ludwig Geiger (1848-1919), was the son of A. Geiger. He is a known German historian and author.
