hardcover. Etat : Fair. 7" x 9 1/2" stapled booklet, pages not numbered. Very short stories for children. The cover is a stiff cardboard. Pictures are black and white. Fair conditino: a small name is written on the front cover as well as inside the front cover. The middle page(s) has come out of the staple, but no harm done. Probably circa 1900.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. This is a VG, unmarked, unpaginated, stapled 12 page paperback copy, chromolitho color cover. The front cover show Hop with an armfull of unhappy lads. The rear cover a sleeping giant. No date, but 1880 would be about right. Photos on request.

Front and back cover have color illustration of clockface with Bedouin and tiny elf figure. 25pp. Pictorial dust jacket, repeating cover design. Illustrated. A short sampling of classic fairy tales including: Hansel and Gretel, The Snow Queen, The False Bride, The Magic Mirror, The Story of Alnaschar, Red Riding Hood, Sinbad the Sailor, The Three Apples, The Queen of Beauty and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Each tale is briefly presented and there are 11 full-color chromolithographs illustrating scenes from the stories. The book's endpapers are also illustrated with 4 color illustrations of Puss 'n Boots, Snow White and other figures, set against a black cavelike background complete with orange flyling bats. A very good, bright copy with some light surface wear and soiling to the rear cover and some scuffing to the bottom edge of the front cover. The text and plates are in fine condition with some minor soiling to a few margins and a short tear to the bottom of one page. There are no marks or writing to the text. The scarce jacket is in very good complete condition with some light wear to the spine at the tips and to the front and rear flap folds. The rear panel is lightly soiled. The jacket flaps have ads for Uncle Wiggily books by Howard Garis. Uncommon in jacket and in such nice shape.
