Mass Market Paperback. Etat : Very Good-. 192 pp. "Amanda Glynn, dazzled into a mad infatuation for a modern 'prey-boy', Dion Brenford, is persuaded by her father to accept a distant post for six months to make sure of her feelings. The cure works, and she meets and finds real romance with Detective-Inspector Brook Richards of Scotland Yard. But, after her marriage, she is horrified to discover that he is in charge of the police proceedings to track down Brenford and his gang of social parasites. To Amanda, Dion is still the man who taught her the alphabet of love, even though he evaded the marriage service. She hates the thought of her husband being concerned with the arrest, and terrible charges for which Brenford is wanted. When Brenford comes to her flat for shelter, she is plunged into a terrible predicament. Shall she hide him? Shall she call the police?" Interior - light browning to pages and inside of covers, otherwise clean and tight with no previous ownership marks. Exterior - book slightly cocked, very light edge wear, a few small wrinkles on spine, two small soft corner creases, minor rubbing.
