Lippincott Company; Philadelphia. Nicely illustrated with dozens of full-page black & white photographic plates. "Pen and Camera Impressions of Men, Manners, Women, and Things All the Way from the Blue Gulf and New Orleans Through Fashionable Florida Palms to the Pines of Virginia." Contents include O Miami, A Bit of the Old in New Orleans, Down the Lumbee in a Canoe, Where is What in Savannah, and much more.please see the photos for the complete list. From the author's Preface: "The material in the following pages has been collected through many years of acquaintance with the South, and through a special series of visits undertaken last winter with this work in mind. I have tried to give the things one notices and talks about to his friends. The book is not, primarily, a guide-book, or a hotel directory, but it contains such information of this character as I have found of value to myself." Condition: Light soiling to the covers and spine. The red lettering on the spine has faded a bit. Sharp cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Occasional light foxing to the pages. Pages 10 & 11 appear to have been attached at the outer edge and, in the process of separating them, tears at the outer edge of both pages resulted.
