Boards. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : very good. First edition. In The New Thinker's Library. Sm 8vo. viii, 268. In a clipped jacket, a little rubbed, creased to edges. Bookseller's pencil price to flyleaf. Less an attempt at futurology, more a contemporary defence of Mao's Cultural Revolution. Chou, best known perhaps as the author of A Many-Splendoured Thing, (1952), later recanted her fervent support for Mao. Nonetheless interesting in the light it offers on the debates then swirling around the Cultural Revolution. Quite uncommon in jacket in the first ed.

4to.; 316 pp., 2 hs. Cubiertas originales.
