Hog was a senator (judge) of the Court of Session, Scotland's supreme civil court, from 1645 to 1730. The first edition of his Decisions was published in 1757. English Short-Title Catalogue N6864.

Quarto, 296 pages. In Very Good condition. Bound in full contemporary calf, paneled spine with mild gilt lettering and tooling. Some shelfwear to boards and spine, including small chipping to label, chipping to head of spine. Bumping and peeling to corners, scratches to boards. Lower fore corner of front board has the leather peeling off the board, and front pastedown has peeled off in the same spot. Title page has a name signed as "John Dunlop 1809'.
