Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. Uwe Feist (illustrateur). 1st Edition. Doubleday & Company, Garden City, NY. 1978. Hardcover. 2nd Printing by Line Number. Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for F/O name on the front pastedown. Book Condition: Very Good: light shelfwear to board edges; light soiling to boards. No DJ. Red paper over boards with black cloth overlay on the spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 198 pp 4to. Very few pieces of military hardware have enjoyed such reputation and long-lived identification as the Messerschmitt 109 fighter. The plane had a service life in WWII and even after the war to include the fledgling Israeli air force. The purpose of this book is to present the history of the 109 in a more graphic manner. The photo-essay coverage will prove a valuable addition to one's understanding of the significance of the 109 to Germany's war effort. A clean very presentable copy.
