Etat : Fair. 1906. No Edition Remarks. 111 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with brown lettering to front board and spine. Contains black and white illustrations throughout by the author. Loss to cloth on upper spine end, with exposed binding. Pages are bright, with light tanning to free endpapers and text block edges. Hinges and gutters are notably cracked with binding exposed. Binding is loose. Pencil inscription on front free endpaper, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with slight bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Loss to cloth on upper spine end, with exposed binding.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A large, cloth covered hardback book black titles on front board and spine. No dust jacket. The book is in used, good condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Slight wear to corners and spine, binding okay, a tad loose, but still intact. 110 pages all intact, all pages, text and illustrations are in really good, clean, readable order. L'Envoi on one of last few back pages, with dedication poem by Edward Fitzgerald. For a book to be over one hundred years and survived that period is quite amazing and this lovely book deserves to be cherished and preserved for future generations.
1st Edn,. vi 67 pages, 4to, frontis illus + 16 other full page plates by the author, presentation inscription in ink to top blank margin of title page, original tan patterned cloth with stag's head printed in brown to upper board, vg-. A guide to stalking in Scotland at the turn of the century, the illustrations are particularly evocative.
