Etat : Fair. 1903. No Edition Remarks. 225 pages. No dust jacket. Beige cloth with brown and gilt lettering. Contains black and white photographic plates. Frontispiece and page 136 plate are detached but present. Pages are rough cut. Pages are moderately tanned with notable foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with a few small nicks and creases along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Minor dog-eared corners. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning and foxing to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends.

Chapters on salmon fishing in Norway, snipe and wildfowling in Ireland, stalking in Scotland etc., Weighs l lb. 2 oz. Hard cover gilt still bright. Blue faded and worn especially at edges. Corners bumped. Both front endpapers have names and places, in one case a date (March 1948) of previous owners. Age toning of pages with some brown spots. Tissue paper guarding frontispiece is only 1/3 attached. Tight. Square. All our books are in our non-smoking home ready to mail. First edition (hardback). 8vo (23cm by 15cm), xiii, 225pp. 5 photogravure plates, 18 half-tone plates. Original brown cloth, gilt titling to the spine. Light bumping to the corners of the boards, some foxing to the endpapers and the edges of the text block, and a handful of pages at the back of the book have been opened a little carelessly: overall, this book is in good condition.
