ISBN 0949433063 Red ochre was found on the sceletal remains of a malecorpse found at Lake Mungo in NSW, the pigment is unavailable locallyit must have been transported to the area in some quantity.This is the earliest evidence we have of the use of Aboriginal pigments in some kind of ritual context.
