An illustrated two volume work on the travels of Count Fritz von Hochberg (aka Friedrich Maximilian, Graf von Hochberg), taking in Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Canton, Singapore, the Straits Settlements, Burma, India and Cashmere, Ceylon and Japan. An interesting historical insight into these countries during the early 20th century. In the publisher's original cloth bindings. Damp-staining to the boards of both volumes. Fading to the spines. Some holes caused by insect damage to the front paste down and front free end paper of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the odd spot, more so to the first and last few pages. Good. book.
